Jack London Elementary School

I am so happy to be teaching at Jack London again this year! This is my 19th year teaching -10th in Piner-Olivet School District. I’ve taught every grade from K to 6, but I am really enjoying 1st grade this year, especially my wonderful class! I grew up in Southern California and moved to Santa Rosa 14 years ago. I live with my husband Andy, two sons- Jack and Justin, as well as Darla my dog and Noodle my cat. I love just hanging out with my family, gardening, playing with my pets, and going for walks. My name is Tanja Werle and I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Jack London! I have been working as a substitute teacher in the district for the past 3 years and attended Olivet as a child. I enjoy working with first graders because they grow and learn so much from September to May! It is my goal to provide a fun, safe environment for your child to learn and gain confidence.
