Jack London Elementary School

Susan Chenault has been living and teaching in Sonoma County for over twenty years. She has been with the Piner Olivet Union School District for thirteen. Mrs. Chenault is a 3rd grade teacher here at Jack London. She is passionate about education. She says her desire to teach stems from a heartfelt desire to give back the strong foundational education she was lucky enough to have received as a child. When asked what she likes about Jack London, Mrs. Chenault responds, "It is a joy to be here at Jack London." "It is such a gorgeous environment to teach and learn in." In third grade we do a unit in science on penguins. It is part of our study of birds in general. We do a penguin report and enjoy exploring several fun activities including a play about penguins based on Mr. Popper's Penguins. Aren't these photo's adorable!They were actually taken in Antartica.
